The Canberra Girls Grammar School Boarding House (known by the boarders as BoHo) continues the long and valued tradition of boarding at the School.

Boarding life enables the School to educate the whole person for the wider world, from within a close and happy community, where self realisation, challenges and self-esteem are nurtured.

The Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) Boarding House is a three-storey mock Tudor-style building, which was the original school building, established on the Melbourne Avenue site in 1927

Acting Head of Boarding, Mrs Lisa Parolin, will take you through the various facilities boarding students have access to.

During this session, Acting Head of Boarding, Mrs Lisa Parolin, will take you through a typical routine for both a junior and senior boarding student covering both weekday and weekend routines.

Weekend activities

Every weekend, the students have access to a program of activities that include outings for shopping, recreation and fitness.

During this session we will cover how the Boarding House supports student’s co-curricular, sporting and social activities.

Home & school connections

Our students have 24-hour, seven-day-a-week care and support from a dedicated Boarding House team.

Acting Head of Boarding, Mrs Lisa Parolin, discusses the CGGS Boarding ‘family’ community, where our boarders share life experiences, develop lasting friendships and gain the independent living skills that allow them to thrive.

We will also touch on the open lines of communication between parents and the Boarding Staff.
